In this rare and compelling tradition, each finalist will premiere a newly commissioned work, bringing a world debut to life before a live audience. The 2026 competition features a new commission by acclaimed composer Samuel Adams, continuing a legacy of premieres by leading voices such as Lowell Liebermann and Timo Andres.
