The Cottage Restaurant in Westport Receives Coveted 'Excellent' Rating in NYT
The cuisine is a sophisticated "patchwork of many cultures," writes The New York Times.

WESTPORT, CT - The Cottage, chef Brian Lewis' newest restaurant on Post Road East in Westport, recently received an "Excellent" rating from The New York Times food critic Patricia Brooks.
Calling the menu a sophisticated "patchwork of many cultures" that was "expertly prepared," Brooks wrote that among her favorite dishes were:
- the "raw, fresh, buttery" crunchy tuna (which was "paired with puffed toasted red quinoa, sesame seeds, avocado and white soy")
- Casco Bay cod with "chorizo, white beans and scallions"
Both various brunch and dinner entrees were described as excellent, as were the desserts, including a "vanilla and huckleberry sundae with ginger and toasted almonds."
Lewis is no stranger to fine dining, having owned New Canaan's Elm restaurant and serving as executive chef at the Bedford Post Inn, according to the Times.
