Creator of The Whelk to Open New Restaurant in Westport
Bill Taibe is also known for Le Farm and Kawa Ni. His new spot will be downtown.
WESTPORT, CT — Bill Taibe, creator of The Whelk, Kawa Ni and Le Farm, is in the midst of building his new restaurant in the Old Town Hall at 90 Post Road East.
The spot previously was home to Spruce, and Taibe tells CTBites.com that he is planning on opening a "real old time tavern" in the location.
What he'll call the new restaurant, and when it'll open, have not yet been disclosed, but it will feature communal tables, a bar and booths around the perimeter for more private dining.
