WESTPORT, CT — Town-wide curbside leaf collection is currently underway in Westport and will take place until early December.

According to a news release, the program will run from Nov. 8 to Dec. 6, during which the town will collect leaves placed in biodegradable paper bags on the curb. All leaves must be placed safely near the curb of a town street by Dec. 6 to guarantee pick-up.

Leaves placed in plastic bags will not be picked up, as the composting process cannot handle plastic. Residents living on private roads must place their bagged leaves at an intersecting town roadway.
