Details Announced For Westport's Great Duck Race, 5K
Watch thousands of rubber ducks "race" down the Saugatuck River in Westport for a chance to win prizes.
WESTPORT, CT — Westport Sunrise Rotary’s eleventh annual Great Duck Race event is set to take place Saturday, June 1 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Parker Harding Plaza. Attendees can watch thousands of rubber ducks "race" down the Saugatuck River for a chance to win prizes.
The family-friendly tradition is one of the Westport Sunrise Rotary's two major annual fundraisers.
According to a press release, Staples High School’s up-and-coming Interact Rotary Club is joining the annual Great Duck Race, sponsoring a 5K race to raise money for End Polio Now.

The Interact Great 5K Race will start (at 8:30 a.m.) and end in the Imperial Parking Lot. Registration is available here.
"I am filled with both honor and excitement," Staples Junior Federica Nagar said in a release. "I cannot wait to see everyone’s hard work come together for such an inspiring cause, and I hope you’ll all be there to witness it with me!"

Following the run, join Sunrise Rotary at Parker Harding Plaza for a day of family fun preceding the race at 3 p.m.
