Heavy overnight winds resulted in several power outages in town and throughout Connecticut, according to Eversource.

WESTPORT, CT — Westport police are asking that motorists avoid Partrick, Hillandale and Prospect roads Thursday morning due to downed trees and wires, following an overnight storm.

Heavy winds resulted in thousands of power outages throughout Connecticut on Thursday, including nearly 80 Eversource customers in Westport, according to the utility company.

The overnight storm also blocked a portion of Wilton Road in Westport early Thursday, but the road has been cleared for traffic, according to police.
