Drivers Injured in Fiery 2-Vehicle Crash on I-95 in Westport
Firefighters from Westport and Fairfield were called to the scene.
WESTPORT, CT - The drivers of an SUV and a flatbed tow truck suffered injuries early Monday in a fiery crash on I-95 between exits 18 and 19, according to Westport fire officials.
The SUV sustained heavy damage and was burned beyond recognition, but both drivers were able to get out of their vehicles and did not require extrication.
Firefighters from both Westport and Fairfield were called to the scene to extinguish the blaze and secure the vehicles.

The crash resulted in the temporary shut down of one entire side of I-95 for a while but it was reopened by about 3:15 a.m.
