Ecuador Earthquake: 30 Westport Students Reportedly Safe
The students are part of contingents from Builders Beyond Borders.

WESTPORT, CT - Separate groups of Westport students, totaling about 30, are reportedly safe following last weekend's earthquake in Ecuador.
The Westport News writes that some of the students, part of groups from Norwalk-based Builders Beyond Borders, have returned to the United States, while another group remains to work on a school construction project. The students were hundreds of miles away from the epicenter of the earthquake and were not in danger, according to the organization.
More than 400 people have been killed in the earthquake, which occurred near northern coastal communities, and thousands have been injured.
