Elderly Westport Couple Plans Lawsuit over Town Employee Hitting Them with Truck

Peter Sternbach, 80, and Annemarie Sternbach, 79, both suffered injuries in the May 6 incident.

WESTPORT, CT — An elderly Westport couple, who were crossing Myrtle Avenue in front of Town Hall on May 6, were struck by a town pickup and have filed a motion that they intend to sue over the incident.

Peter Sternbach, 80, and Annemarie Sternbach, 79, both suffered injuries when they were hit by the truck, driven by Fairfield resident Bryan Thompson, 49, a town engineer, reports the Stamford Advocate. The Sternbachs are represented by Fairfield law firm Ury & Moskow, LLC.

The couple were on the sidewalk when they were struck by Thompson, who police determined was at fault.
