Embrace Orthodontics honors Dr. Steven L Scher for 45 years of service in Westport
Embrace Orthodontics honors Dr. Steven Scher for 45 years of orthodontic service in Westport. First Selectman Jim Marpe was in attendance.
Embrace Orthodontics hosted an open house last night for more than 40 dentists from the Fairfield County Area. The open house served dual purposes: celebrating the practice's name change from Scher Orthodontics to Embrace Orthodontics and honoring Dr. Steven L. Scher for serving the Westport, CT community for the last 45 years. First Selectman, Mr. Jim Marpe, attended to present Dr. Scher with a Letter of Commendation.
In October 2016, Dr. Emily Driesman (aka Dr. Emily) took over the practice from Dr. Scher. Dr. Emily previously worked in Fairfield and Norwalk at First Impressions Orthodontics. When Dr. Scher considered selling his practice, he insisted on passing it on to a native of Westport. Dr. Emily emerged as his ideal prodigy. Dr. Emily grew up in Westport and attended the Westport school systems. Both of her parents, Mitchell and Shelley, are practicing physicians in Fairfield County. Along with the practice transition came the name change to Embrace Orthodontics from Scher Orthodontics. Dr. Scher remains on staff to assist with a smooth transition and ensure patients continue to receive the excellent orthodontic care they have grown accustomed to receiving. Dr. Emily Driesman and Dr. Steven L. Scher could not be more excited for this next phase of their careers!
