Performance Physical Therapy Lecture Series Presents: Rowing: "Back" to Basics with guest speakers: Dr. Peter J. Moley with Hospital for Special Surgery and DPT Jane Danford with Performance Physical Therapy
This unique rowing lecture will spotlight common & overuse injuries, along with wise methods on how to prevent rowing injuries and how you can take your rowing to an elite level. This will be coupled with the skills needed to successfully accomplish this fun and exciting way of getting fit while enjoying the beauty of nature!
Performance Physical Therapy is a member of the Hospital for Special Surgery Rehabilitation Network.
All Performance Physical Therapy seminars are free and open to you, your friends and family. This seminar will be followed by a question and answer session with refreshments.

Dr. Moley is a board certified MD in both Physiatry and Sports Medicine. Peter is an avid rower who specializes in the non-operative treatment of hips, low backs, and general joint injuries through the use of selective injections and advanced physical therapy programs, which he designs for his patients.
Jane Danford received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Rehabilitation Science from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Jane then went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Northeastern. Jane is currently participating in a postdoctoral orthopedic residency program at New York University to gain advanced knowledge and clinical skills with Performance Physical Therapy. The program includes didactic work, physician mentor-ship, and she is a teaching assistant for NYU doctorate students.
Jane found her passion in rowing- beginning in junior high school and was rowing at a national level by high school. She then went on to become a Division I collegiate rower and continues to row recreationally. She has competed in both national and international races including Head of the Charles and the Henley. Jane coached both masters and youth programs.
