Performance Physical Therapy Lecture Series Presents: For the "Love" of Tennis & Injury Prevention on the Court - The Perfect Match!

Let the Spring & Summer 2012 Tennis Season Begin! And you know what that means... Whether you're young or just young at heart (aka: a wee bit older), a weekend tennis warrior or a serious tennis athlete… anyone who engages in tennis activities will be at risk of a tennis sports-related injury. So prepare yourself by attending this informative tennis injury prevention lecture. 

Performance Physical Therapist's - Sarah Schlosser OT/CHT & Alex Shafiro DPT will be discussing how to prevent tennis injuries, as well as the latest warm-up & cool-down excercises and treatment options available for adults and children with a wide range of tennis injuries. Often the recognition and treatment of these tennis injuries in the first day or two after the initial injury; can mean the difference between a short recovery or out for the tennis season. This lecture will touch on some of the important training and workout techniques to take your tennis game to the next level. 

Sarah studied Occupational Therapy at the University of New Hampshire and graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Occupational Therapy.  Sarah narrowed her focus to hand therapy and trained at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center.

Alex received his undergraduate as well as post-graduate degrees from Ithaca College: Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Science,  Master of Science in Physical Therapy, and Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).
