Firefighters Douse Outdoor Oven Fire In Westport

WESTPORT, CT — Westport firefighters extinguished an outdoor oven fire Sunday at a home on Owenoke Park in Westport, according to Assistant Fire Chief Brian Meadows.

The fire was reported just before 8 p.m., and it doused quickly. No injuries were reported, and gas and electricity were temporarily shut off at the site while crews were at the scene.

Members of the Westport Fire Marshal's Office are investigating the cause of the blaze, according to Meadows.
