Firefighters Extinguish Outdoor Structure Fire In Westport: FD

The blaze was reported Monday night on Burnham Hill, according to fire officials.

WESTPORT, CT — Westport firefighters doused an outdoor structure fire Monday night at a home on Burnham Hill, according to Assistant Fire Chief Brian Meadows.

No injuries were reported in the fire, which was called in at about 11:30 p.m.

The blaze was reported at a structure next to an in-ground pool at the home, and firefighters were able to extinguish it before it reached the house, according to Meadows.

"The fire damage was limited to the outdoor structure," Meadows wrote in a statement. "Crews secured utilities and performed overhaul."

Westport Fire Marshals are investigating the cause of the fire.
