Free Flood Cleanup Assistance Available For Westport Homeowners Affected By Sept. 13 Storm

WESTPORT, CT — Westport homeowners affected by flooding from the Sept. 13 storm can request free cleanup assistance through Southern Baptist Disaster Relief, according to town officials.

The Connecticut Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security worked with Connecticut Volunteer Organizations Assisting in Disasters to engage Southern Baptist Disaster Relief to provide assistance related to the flooding, officials said.

Services available to affected homeowners include damage assessments, removal of damaged items and materials, cleanup and mold mitigation.

Homeowners seeking assistance can call 203-628-6978. Callers are asked to leave a message with their name, phone number, address and a brief description of the assistance they need.
