Funds Approved for Coleytown Middle School Mold Clean Up: Report
The mold was discovered in several classrooms.

WESTPORT, CT — Just under $94,000 was approved this week to remediate a portion of the hidden mold problem at Coleytown Middle School.
Westport Now reports that eight classrooms have been dealt with as it pertains to the issue, but an additional 16 classrooms must be checked. If remediation is needed in some or all of those classrooms, that could cost as much as an additional $100,000, officials estimate.
The mold does not present a health risk, and was the result of condensation built up over time from a unit ventilator behind the walls of several classrooms.
