Halloween Parade Postponed In Westport
The town's annual children's Halloween parade was originally scheduled to take place Wednesday afternoon.

WESTPORT, CT — The town's annual children's Halloween parade originally scheduled to take place Wednesday afternoon has been postponed to Thursday, according to an announcement from the Parks and Recreation Department, the Downtown Merchants Association and Westport P.A.L.
On Thursday, children and parents will meet at Main Street and Post Road East at 3:30 p.m. The parade will proceed up Main Street, turn right onto Avery Place, then turn left on Myrtle Ave to Town Hall and Veterans Green, according to a news release.
Children may trick-or-treat along Main Street and outside the front of Town Hall. Entertainment, refreshments and a small gift will be provided on Veterans Green across from Town Hall at 4 p.m.

The event is intended for all children, especially those ages 8 and under, town officials said. There will be no parking on Main Street between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. during the event Thursday.
