20-Year-Old Killed In I-95 Crash In Westport: Report
State Police say two others sustained serious injuries in the crash.

WESTPORT, CT — Brian Andersen, 20, of Westport, was killed in an early morning accident Sunday on Interstate 95, the Connecticut Post reports.
The accident occurred at 3:45 a.m. Sunday by Exit 17 southbound side, State Police said. The driver lost control of the vehicle and struck a guardrail and then a highway sign, the Post reports.
Anderson, a passenger, was thrown from the vehicle. Two others were injured in the one-vehicle crash but there injuries are not considered serious. The highway reopened Sunday afternoon.

UPDATE: The highway has reopened but the right lane remains closed for emergency road maintenance. Delays are still occurring as of 10 a.m.

WESTPORT, CT — Three people have been hospitalized including one person with serious injuries after an accident has shut down Interstate-95 in Westport, State Police said.
Troop G is investigating a one car motor vehicle accident which occurred on I-95 southbound north of Exit 17 in Westport. The accident occurred this morning at approximately 3:45 a.m.
There were three occupants in the vehicle, all three transported to hospital, two for precautionary reasons, one with serious injuries, State Police said. The roadway is completely closed at this time while CARS unit (collision analysis reconstruction squad) processes and documents the scene and DOT assists.
