Lifeguards No Longer On Duty At Beach In Westport: Parks & Recreation Department
The move happens annually at the end of summer.
WESTPORT, CT — Lifeguards are no longer on duty at Westport's Burying Hill Beach, according to the Parks and Recreation Department. The annual move marks the end of summer.
"The beach will remain open, so please use caution and swim at your own risk," officials wrote in a statement. "Beach emblems are required at Burying Hill through Labor Day, September 7, 2026."
Lifeguards remain on duty at Compo Beach during their regular schedule through Sept. 7.
