Emma Laney was previously an intern for the Connecticut chapter’s Development team and worked as a temp on the Program team, where she assisted the other Wish Coordinators with planning wishes.

Laney started working for, and volunteering at, nonprofit organizations in grade school. After her first trip to Guatemala through Education and Hope, she knew the nonprofit sector was where she wanted to work later in life.

“I am so excited to officially be a part of Make-A-Wish! Since my internship last year, I have seen the amazing impact this organization has on wish families and I am grateful for the opportunity to play a role in their wish journeys. I am eager to learn from everyone involved with Make-A-Wish; thanks to the guidance from the Program team I had as a temp, I feel well prepared for my debut as a Wish Coordinator!”
