Man Accused Of Stealing $7,000 From Westport Business: Police

Police said the accused worked as a manager for the business.

WESTPORT, CT — Police said a 24-year-old Bridgeport man who worked as a manager for a Westport business is accused of stealing approximately $7,000 from the company. Police said they began an investigation into the alleged employee theft last October.

According to a news release, managers at the business conducted an internal audit prior to meeting with police and found that over $7,000 was missing.

"The ensuing investigation revealed that Kyle Small, a manager at the victim business, had failed to make deposits on two separate occasions, could not account for missing money on a third occasion and admitted to 'borrowing money' for various reasons," police said in a release.
