Man Called Woman 15 Times, Charged With Harassment: Westport PD

Westport police said the accused allegedly called a woman's phone 15 times in one day.

WESTPORT, CT – Police said a Stamford man was arrested last week on harassment charges after he allegedly called a woman's phone 15 times. According to police, the victim reported the incident on Nov. 7, 2017, and the accused was arrested on an active arrest warrant on Oct. 4.

According to a news release, the victim reported AC Robinson, 54, of Stamford called her cell phone approximately fifteen times on Nov. 4, 2017. The accused was in an active protective order when the calls occurred, police said.

"The victim stated she only answered one of the calls, during which Robinson told her he would not leave her
alone and would hurt her," Lieutenant Jillian Cabana said in a release. "The conditions of the protective order against Robinson included prohibitions against assaulting, abusing and harassing the victim."

Police said an arrest warrant application was submitted and later approved, and the accused was taken into custody at the Stamford Police Department on the active arrest warrant on Oct. 4. He was transported to Westport Police headquarters, where he was charged with harassment and criminal violation of a protective order, police said.
