Man Charged In Burglary At Maserati Dealer In Westport: Police

WESTPORT, CT — An Ansonia man was recently arrested on charges related to a burglary at a Maserati dealer in Westport, according to police.

In a news release, Lt. Dave Wolf said officers were called to Maserati of Westport, located at 1026 Post Road East, after receiving a report of a possible burglary on Jan. 13.

When officers arrived at the business, they found a window was broken and later determined two vehicles and a cash box had been stolen, Wolf said.

According to Wolf, officers were able to obtain surveillance footage that showed two people breaking into the building. Both vehicles were later found abandoned in Ansonia and Shelton.

A Westport officer assigned to the Regional Auto Theft Task Force conducted a follow-up investigation and, using the surveillance footage, was able to identify one of the suspects as Quadele Vickers, 20, of Ansonia, and police obtained a warrant for his arrest, Wolf said.

Vickers was arrested by Derby police on March 31 and turned over to Westport officers, Wolf said.

Per the warrant, he was charged with second-degree burglary, conspiracy to commit second-degree burglary, first-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit first-degree larceny, third-degree criminal mischief and conspiracy to commit third-degree criminal mischief.

Vickers was held on a $100,000 bond, Wolf said. His arraignment was scheduled for April 1.
