More Than A Dozen Westport Restaurants Reopen For Outdoor Dining
Restaurants must apply to the town for approval to reopen.
WESTPORT, CT — As of Wednesday, at least 16 Westport restaurants have been approved by the town to reopen to serve patrons outdoors, according to the Westport Weston Chamber of Commerce. Restaurants and other businesses, schools and town facilities have been closed for two months due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
To reopen, restaurants have to apply to the town and show that it has met certain criteria, such providing enough space for social distancing; providing personal protective equipment for staff; and providing nearby parking if the parking lot will be used for diners.
