Music & Arts Store Closes In Westport

WESTPORT, CT — The Music & Arts store in Westport's Compo Shopping Center has closed, according to a sign on the door.

"Notice to our customers: The Westport, CT Store is now closed," the sign reads. "We appreciated your patronage over the years. Please visit our Fairfield Store located just 5 miles away at: 1863 Post Rd, Fairfield, CT 06824, 203-255-2881. Thank you for your understanding and continued support!"

Music & Arts sells and rents instruments, in addition to offering music lessons. In addition to the Fairfield store, the national chain also has Connecticut shops in Greenwich and West Hartford, among other locations.

What will fill the Westport space at the Compo Shopping Center is not known. The shopping destination was recently sold for $45.5 million to Florida-based real estate investment trust Regency Centers.
