Nursing Home In Westport Fined: Report
The state Department of Public Health fined five nursing homes for various violations, including incidents in which a resident was injured.
WESTPORT, CT — Westport Rehabilitation Complex was recently fined $8,120 by the state Department of Public Health after an investigation revealed 20 residents had money missing from their trust funds and a separate incident in which a resident was injured, according to the Connecticut Health I-Team.
Cara Rosner of the Connecticut Health I-Team reports $3,161 in total was taken from the residents’ accounts and a facility business office manager was found to be responsible. The facility was also fined for an incident in which a resident fell off a bed while receiving care and was injured.
