Suspect Stole $35,000 In Cosmetics From Westport's Ulta Beauty: Police
Westport police believe the suspect could be part of a ring of thieves who have stolen from Ulta Beauty numerous times.

WESTPORT, CT — A 23-year-old Bronx, New York man was arrested on multiple warrants by Westport Police Tuesday in connection with the theft of $35,000 worth of cosmetics from Ulta Beauty on the Post Road East in Westport, according to police.
Frank Greene, who police believe may be part of a ring of thieves who have preyed on Ulta Beauty stores in the Tri-State area, was charged with the following:
- Second-degree larceny
- Third-degree larceny (6 counts)
- Conspiracy to commit second-degree larceny
- Conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny (6 counts)
"Between May 15, 2021, and July 9, 2021, Westport Police officers responded to 1365 Post Road East, Ulta Beauty, seven times to investigate shoplifting incidents," Lt. David Wolf wrote in a statement. "In every case, two or more suspects entered the store, placed a large amount of merchandise in bags or shopping baskets, and then left without paying. The total amount of goods stolen between all the thefts was more than $35,000.00."

From surveillance footage, police and store security personnel were able to develop Greene as a suspect in all the Westport cases and other thefts.
"The manager was familiar with Mr. Greene as he was reportedly a suspect in numerous thefts at Ulta Beauty stores in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut."

He was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon; the circumstances of the arrest were not disclosed.
Greene was held in lieu of bail of $500,000, and he was scheduled to be arraigned in Stamford Superior Court on Wednesday.
