Obituary : Jose Virgilio Felix

Jose Virgilio Felix, 80, of Wappinger Falls, New York passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.

Jose was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to Julio Cesar Felix and Celeste Alvarado de Felix. He was the oldest of seven children, five brothers and one sister. Jose was a devoted brother, husband, father and grandfather known for his sense humor, intelligence, and adventurous spirit. At gatherings, friends and family would ask him to play his acoustic guitar, often accompanied by his wife who sang with him.

Also referred to as “Daddy”, “Papas”, “Virgilio”, “Viejo” (Spanish for my old man), and “Pimpin” (younger siblings nickname for him)is survived by his wife of 50 years, Miladys Altagracia Felix, daughters Miladys Virginia Felix and Karina Counselo Felix, son, Virgilio Jose Felix, children in-law Vasilios Miliopulos, Denise Felix, and Robert Pinghero, and six grandchildren Nikolas, Alexandra, Rachel, Matthew, Samantha and Gabriella.

Friends may greet the family on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm in the Raymond Funeral Home, 5 East Wall Street in Historic Norwalk. A Mass of Christian Burial will Be celebrated on Saturday at 9:00 am in St. Philip Church, Norwalk. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Norwalk.
