The following obituary of Westport resident Martin Jay Albert (Marty), 77, is from Abraham L. Green & Son Funeral Home:

Martin Jay Albert (Marty), 77 of Westport, CT, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2023 in
Westport from complications of Parkinson’s Disease.

Martin was born in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Abraham and Sedra Albert. He graduated from
Jamaica High School in 1962 and went on to earn a BA from the Wharton School at University
of Pennsylvania, Boston University Law School, NYU Masters in Taxation, CPA. He worked as
an attorney at Cohen and Wolf for 35 years. He enjoyed golf, skiing, and walking. He was
involved with and served as Vice President of United Way (Bridgeport), Vice President of the
UJA, board member of the Jewish Home for the Elderly Foundation, and President of Birchwood Country Club, and Vice President of Temple Israel.

Martin Albert is survived by his wife Janet Albert, children Elizabeth Heyer (Joseph) and Andrew Albert (Rachel), sister Naomi Gardner, and grandchildren Samson, Austin & Presley Heyer, Madison and Aaron Albert. He was predeceased by his parents Abraham and Sedra Albert.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 10:30am at Temple Israel, 14
Coleytown Rd, Westport. Burial will follow at Temple Israel Cemetery, 225 Richards Ave,
Norwalk. Shiva will be observed at the home of Janet Albert in Westport on Tuesday, February
28 and Wednesday, March 1 from 2-8pm. To share a condolence message, visit
