Oil Man Won't Move Truck in Westport, Gets Arrested: Cops

While making an oil delivery on Railroad Place on Feb. 19, Stamford resident Allen Pearson, 50, refused to move the truck as he pumped and was arrested, according to police.

Pearson had been warned about blocking traffic in the past, reports Westport Now, and he struggled with officers while trying to close the door to the truck.

“Pearson refused to move his truck until he was done pumping oil and refused to give the officers his license and registration paperwork,” Westport Police Lt. David Farrell told Westport Now, adding he was charged with interfering with an officer and refusing to show his license and registration.

Pearson was released after posting a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Feb. 29.
