Palmer Appointed Westport Superintendent

Colleen Palmer is set to take over the top Board of Education post come July 1.

Palmer was appointed as superintendent at a recent Board of Education meeting. She will make a $285,000 salary, according to Westport Now.

Palmer will hop over from Weston Public Schools where she is currently superintendent. She was named superintendent of the year by the Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents.

Board of Education Chairman Michael Gordon said that Palmer has great communication skills and is innovative when it comes to 21st century skills. He thanked current Superintendent Elliott Landon for setting the bar high.
