Public Hearing Scheduled On Cribari Memorial Bridge Rehabilitation Project In Westport

The public hearing will be hosted by the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

WESTPORT, CT — The state Department of Transportation will host a public hearing on March 19 to discuss the upcoming rehabilitation and replacement of the Cribari Memorial Bridge on Route 136 in Westport.

The public hearing is scheduled for 6 p.m. in Westport Town Hall.

"The purpose of this meeting is to provide the community with an opportunity to learn about the proposed project and allow a place to provide feedback concerning the proposed improvements," officials wrote in a statement. "The purpose of this project is to provide a resilient structure that addresses the structural and functional deficiencies of the existing Cribari Memorial Bridge, which carries Route 136 over the Saugatuck River, while accommodating safe vehicular, bicycle, pedestrian and marine traffic."
