Rahelia Makes it Official

For more than 32 years, Rahelia Durrani has been making women feel beautiful in the clothes they wear. Having moved her shop from Fairfield to Westport this past month, Rahelia continues to offer her signature elegant clothing, personal attention and fashion sense to women of all shapes, sizes and styles.

"I specialize in working with women who want to look their best," Rahelia said, "My success comes from taking women who are size 14 or 16 and making them look like a size 12." 

Rahelia can look at a person and know what type of dress is going to work for their particular body type and lifestyle – a talent that's kept her in business for so long. 

Rahelia, a former makeup artist and stylist in New York City attended the Fashion Institute of Technology, where upon graduating worked in the fashion industry as a fashion coordinator for films and magazines.   Rahelia, who lives in Easton with her family, made the move to Westport to further accommodate her large client base that resides in the area.

Upon entering Rahelia's boutique, vibrant colors catch one's eyes.  Flowing gowns, stunning cocktail dresses, and sophisticated day-to-evening suits are organized according to a woman's comfort level. Long gowns with matching beaded jackets share the stage with floating, knee length, chiffon dresses and sleeveless gowns with plunging necklines. Rahelia adds finishing touches with jewelry, handbags, and shoe selections.

In celebration of the addition of Rahelia to the town of Westport, The Westport-Weston Chamber of Commerce held the official opening with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Wednesday night.
