Religious Services Scheduled For Westport's Compo Beach

WESTPORT, CT — This Sunday, June 30, Saugatuck Congregational Church will lead worship at 8:30 a.m., at Compo Beach, for the first beach service of the summer-long programming. Saugatuck Congregational is one of four local area churches that will co-lead worship on Compo Beach every Sunday at 8:30 a.m. throughout the summer, from June 30 through August 18. All are welcome to join the expanded community of faith for worship services that include sunshine, warm breezes, and the sound of the waves in the background.

Attendees are encouraged to B.Y.O.C — bring your own chair. Everyone can park for free, even without a Westport beach sticker — just tell the gate attendant that you're attending the church service and look for the gathering near the cannons. The dress code is casual — flip-flops and nice shorts are fine.

Or, join Saugatuck Congregational Church any Sunday for worship at 10 a.m. in the air-conditioned cool of the sanctuary.
