WESTPORT, CT — Several roads are closed in Westport due to flooding caused by a storm Thursday evening, according to police.

In a new release, Police Lt. Dave Wolf said the following roads were impassable as of 5 p.m. Thursday:

  • Greens Farms @ Center Street
  • Cross Highway between Roseville Road and Hockanum Road
  • Myrtle Avenue @ Post Road East
  • Greens Farms Road @ Fairfield town line
  • Tiffany Lane

"Given that the winds are supposed to pickup and the rain will continue through the night, we expect additional road closures," Wolf said in a news release. "We ask that people stay off the roads. Those who are driving or walking should use extreme caution. Please do not drive through standing water or bypass barricades/caution tape that has been put in place by first responders."
