Roads Closed In Westport During Outdoor Shopping Event: Police
Police said these road closures will result in traffic congestion downtown and increased pedestrian traffic.
WESTPORT, CT — Portions of two roads in the center of town will be closed Saturday, and drivers should expect delays as a result, according to police.
In a news release, Lt. Jillian Cabana said the Westport Downtown Merchants Association will hold an outdoor downtown shopping event from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
As a result, Main Street will be closed between Post Road East and Avery Place from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. that day. Elm Street will also be closed between Main Street and the Baldwin Lot during that same timeframe Saturday, according to Cabana.
