Robin Williams Remembered at Westport Country Playhouse

At the Westport Country Playhouse’s Facebook page, the accompanying picture was posted of the late Robin Williams, who, so to speak, appeared on stage there (in his own impromptu way).

Here’s what the playhouse’s Facebook post said:

This morning several staff members shared their wonderful memory of Robin Williams jumping up and serving as an impromptu host for our 2003 gala auction.

They described the performance as wild and full of joy, laughter, put-downs and send-ups. He helped secure the Playhouse’s future that night. We share the theater and film communities’ sense of loss and sorrow, and also their joy for having witnessed his gifts so freely given.
