Several Westport Roads Closed, Wires Down: PD

WESTPORT, CT — Several roads are closed due to flooding and wind damage in Westport Friday morning.

Here is some of the damage:

• Wires are down in the area of Morningside Drive near Clapboard Hill Road.
• A tree took down power lines near 176 Cross Highway between Bayberry Lane and Sturges Highway.
• Wires are also down near 225 Compo Road South.
• Imperial Avenue at Baker is flooded. Motorists should avoid the area.

About 5.6 percent of residents are without power as of 10:15 a.m., according to Eversource.
