WESTPORT, CT — Firefighters were able prevent a shed fire on Plover Lane from spreading to two nearby homes Sunday morning, according to fire officials.

In a news release, Assistant Chief Matthew Cohen said the fire was reported around 10:30 a.m. Crews quickly arrived at the shed, which was located approximately 10 feet from two houses and fully engulfed in flames.

According to Cohen, firefighters noticed the blaze extending to both homes and went to work extinguishing the fire using two hoses. Additional crews checked inside both homes for occupants and any additional flames.
