The Shores Expands Access to Mental Health Care in Fairfield County

Hartford HealthCare celebrated the opening of the new Welcome Center at The Shores Mental Health in Westport, strengthening access to behavioral health services for individuals and families across Fairfield County.

The Welcome Center helps make finding care less overwhelming. Individuals can speak directly with a behavioral health clinician, who assesses their needs and helps determine the appropriate next step. This may include a same-day assessment, inpatient care or a connection to outpatient services. No referral is needed.

Part of Hartford HealthCare’s St. Vincent’s Medical Center, The Shores offers specialized inpatient programs for adults, children and adolescents experiencing mental health challenges. Treatment combines clinical care with supportive therapies focused on healing and recovery.
