Small Fire Damages Dressing Room Exterior
Minor damage was not enough to close the restaurant, says the fire department.

A cardboard box placed on a grill caused a small fire and some damage to the Dressing Room Restaurant on 27 Powers Court.
According to the Westport Fire Department, the automatic alarm went off at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. A restaurant worker told firefighters that the box had been placed on the kitchen grill, and then taken outside and placed on a fiberglass partition. The box, it turns out, was smoldering and caught fire.
The fire burned along with the partition and part of the outside wall of the restaurant. The interior was not damaged and the restaurant remained open once the fire was put out. The last firefighter left the scene at 4:11 p.m.
