During this workshop, participants will practice with fifty classroom activities tailored to their grade level, subject area, and school’s mission to make this a personalized experience. They will also learn twenty different classroom technology apps and programs and plan their first week of lessons.
Fellows Program Director Abby Abbott shared: “With time and bandwidth at a premium once the school year officially begins, new teachers will find this early August investment yields tremendous returns. Lesson planning templates, activities, strategies from instructional leaders, and an intentional and supportive space to practice, demos, and workshop ideas--all specifically designed with the participant’s school mission at the center--will ensure active learning begins from day one.”
