Staples Is Again a Unanimous Top Field Hockey Team

WESTPORT, CT — One of the most dominating regular season records in Connecticut field hockey history led to two-time defending Class L champion Staples High School being named first on all eight ballots in the most recent weekly coaches poll.

The Wreckers concluded the schedule with a 16-0 record, outscoring opponents by a whopping 94-5 margin, to earn the top nod for the fourth straight week. Cheshire maintained its spot in second position, while Granby moved up two places into third.
