Staples English Teacher Named Westport's 2017 Teacher of the Year: Report
The announcement was made by Superintendent of Schools Colleen Palmer.

WESTPORT, CT — Mary Elizabeth Fulco has been named Westport's 2017 Teacher of the Year, reports Westport Now.
The announcement was made by Superintendent of Schools Colleen Palmer during a convocation Monday at Bedford Middle School. Fulco is an English and Journalism teacher at Staples High School, and a faculty mentor of the student newspaper "Inklings."
Additionally this past spring, Fulco was honored by Deadline Club, which is the New York City Chapter of The Society of Professional Journalists, as Educator of the Year. She is the first recipient of the award from Connecticut, according to Staples.
