Staples High School principal candidate Shelly Somers got to meet parents and answer questions at an event in town.
Somers addressed a mistake she made in 1996 when a child was left on a bus as children from her Cornflakes Daycare Center attended a performance at the University of Hartford, according to Westport Now.
She admitted to the mistake and said among many things it taught her humility. The child was fine.
