Staples High School Multimillion Dollar Expansion Considered
The proposed expansion would help the school deal with increasing enrollment.
The Westport Board of Education will consider a $20,000 study conducted into a possible expansion of Staples High School.
The school was designed for 1,800 students, but enrollment this year is 1,900 and there is no sign of it dropping in the next few years, according to Westport Now.
The $21.2 million expansion would add 36,000 feet to the school.
