Tooker answered questions from students regarding her career prior to becoming First Selectwoman, the responsibilities of the job, and what a typical day in this role looks like. She also congratulated the students who will represent Staples at ‘We The People,’ a national competition where they will participate in simulated congressional hearings in Washington, D.C. in April. The Staples team recently tied for first place at the state competition with Trumbull High School, moving both teams on to the national level.
