Staples Lacrosse Association Launches Championship Banner Project

The following announcement is from the Staples Lacrosse Association:

WESTPORT, CT — The Staples Lacrosse Association is proud to announce its Championship Banner Project, a project through which twelve Westport businesses are displaying banners congratulating the Staples High School boys lacrosse team for its state championship (CIAC Class L). On June 12, 2022, the Staples High School boys lacrosse team defeated Darien High School by a score of 12-3, winning the school’s first boys lacrosse state championship. One banner is being displayed for each goal scored in the championship game.

The Staples Lacrosse Association wishes to thank the following businesses for displaying the banners in their storefronts:

The banners, which have been on display since the start of school, will remain on display through October 1, 2022, after which they will be auctioned off as raffle items during the Staples Lacrosse Association’s October 3, 2022 golf fundraiser.

The Staples Lacrosse Association supports the Staples Boys Lacrosse program by organizing and participating in a variety of activities, including fundraising. The organization is led and staffed by volunteer parents of current Staples lacrosse players and supporters of Staples Boys Lacrosse.
