Staples Presents 'Music of India' At 2019 Westport Youth Concert

WESTPORT, CT — The Staples Music & Visual Arts Department, in collaboration with PTA Cultural Arts and the Westport Library, presents the “Music of India” at the 2019 Westport Youth Concert at the Staples Auditorium.

According to a press release, this annual educational music program is part a global music initiative that will feature performances by the Staples Chamber Orchestra, Jazz Band, choral groups, the award-winning District Percussion Ensemble and special guest artists Glen Velez and Loire Cotler. In-school performances for elementary and middle school students are Feb. 5 and 7, along with a special Community Presentation on Feb. 5 at 7:30 p.m. All are invited to this special public event. No ticket is required, as the event is free of charge.
