Staples Student Wins National Merit Scholarship
A Staples High student won a prestigious scholarship.
WESTPORT, CT — A Staples High School student has been awarded a National Merit Scholarship.
Marshall Heiser won the National Merit University of Southern California Scholarship. Heiser intends to go into an investment banking career.
Semifinalists for the National Merit Scholarship competition make up less than one percent of graduating seniors. From there entrants have to complete a detailed application and about 7,500 are awarded scholarships.
